There is an urgency in my spirit today. Not to create fear — but to stir something that may have gone quiet.
Jesus told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father. They could have gone out and preached. They had seen the resurrection. But He said wait. Because without the power of the Holy Ghost, they would be doing it in their own strength.
And so would we.
The Holy Spirit is not a bonus feature of the Christian life. He is not optional equipment. He is the power by which Jesus Himself operated on this earth. And He is available to every single believer who will seek Him.
If your Christian life feels like you are running on empty — if prayer feels dry, if the Word feels like just words — it may be time to go back to the upper room. To tarry. To ask. To receive fresh fire.
He is faithful. He will fill you again.
